Project Prioritizer Template

You can rank and sort your projects using the properties of Notion's Project Prioritization Template according to several important criteria, such as Cost, Impact, and Urgency. A score and priority rating are the results of this.

This is how it works:

  • Type the project name into the "Project" field.
  • Estimate the cost to finish the project and enter it in the "Cost" field.
  • Rate the project's possible impact by entering a number in the "Impact" field.
  • Enter a number indicating how urgently the project needs to be finished in the "Urgency" field.
  • A score will be automatically generated in the "Score" field based on the ratings for Cost, Impact, and Urgency.

It's simple to use and modify the template. Columns can be added or removed as needed.

How the project prioritization scoring works

  • Cost: Please rate the likely cost of this project in terms of time and energy on a scale of 1 to 10. a negative number, meaning that your overall project score will decrease the higher you score on this;
  • Impact: Please rate the project's likely importance (or "impactful") on your main business objectives on a scale of 1 to 10.
  • Urgency: On a scale of 1 to 10, indicate how urgent this project is. Even if the project's overall impact is small, projects with approaching deadlines typically have a high level of urgency.
  • Score: These three inputs are combined to create the score. You should give a certain project more priority the higher the score.
  • Priority Rating: There are just two categories in the priority rating formula: "HP = High Priority" and "LP = Low Priority." Naturally, if you want to adjust these rankings, you can refer to the individual scores.
  • Sort: The table is automatically arranged so that the projects with the highest priority are at the top.

This Project Prioritization database created by Notion can be duplicated and used as your project management "base" layer. From there, you can personalize your own project management setup by connecting actions, allocating personnel, and adding deadlines.
